Please join us on Oct 24, 2024, 4-5 PM EST for the October NALA Member Social and Networking event featuring Andrea Myklebust and Laura Sullivan of the Northern New England Fibershed as they share information about their regional mill grant research, and growing protocols in Northeast New England.
Andrea and Laura will share the story of a bast-fibre feasibility study funded by a Fibershed microgrant during 2023/24. The
project, conducted by a working group of the Northern New England Fibershed affiliate, explores current flax and hemp
production in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and the potential demand for a small-scale primary scutching facility and
bast fiber spinning infrastructure.
